Coast to Coast

The trek in our Shrekfalia has begun.

Our search for a VW bus started in Oct. 2009 for this trip, but with most of the ones we could find, they seemed to be crap, over prices and crap or just over priced. It wasn't till March 2010 that we were able to find one in California. My plan, fly down and drive it back, but with a pretty little girl being born on March 6th it would have to be shipped to Montana and then picked up from there. When all was said and done it was the end of March by the time we got the bus home and ready to work on. It was a month of hard work getting the Westfalia ready for the road trip. With all the old cupboards removed I was able to build new ones that would suit our needs a little better. Also a furnace was added to the bus to help keep Indy warm at night.( I would like to thank Mr. Warris for his help, input and the use of his shop, also David Creed for the Shrekfalia signs for the bus.)
